Hourly rate

The hourly rate is € 190 per hour including 21% VAT. If you are residing outside the EU you don't need to pay VAT. In addition to the hourly rate, you must take into account additional costs such as bailiff costs, costs charged by the court for the procedure (the so-called court fee) and any costs of copies/excerpts from BRP and civil status, extracts from the Chamber of Commerce, etc. If you have legal expenses insurance, the costs of the lawyer may be reimbursed by the insurer.

Fixed price agreement

It is possible to make a fixed price agreement in matters that lend themselves to this, such as divorce, determining or changing alimony, selling a joint home and changing your first name. Fixed price agreements are not possible for contact and custody matters. Experience shows that these matters often drag on for a long time and require a lot of time and attention.

Second opinion

A second opinion costs €250 including 21% VAT. With a second opinion, the most important documents in your case are read. This is followed by a 60-minute meeting (by telephone, online or at the office).

Legal Aid

We participate in the system of government-funded legal aid, which means that you only owe a personal contribution towards the costs of the lawyer. Would you like to know whether you are eligible for financed legal aid? Then take a look at the income and assets table of the Legal Aid Council. You can also find other information about funded legal aid on the website of the Legal Aid Board. No assistance is provided on a pro bono basis in matters of contact and parental authority. Experience shows that these matters often drag on for a long time and require a lot of time and attention. You can choose to pay the costs of the lawyer yourself. We then apply a moderate hourly rate of € 140 including 21% VAT.
